Labelling and standardization

As part of the promotion of energy efficiency measures for ER equipment (solar water heaters, PV panels), the AMEE has equipped itself with test benches for the labeling of these systems in order to upgrade existing quality equipment. on the national market on the one hand and provide a means of choice for users seeking to acquire a product with good value for money on the other hand.

      A. Test benches for solar collectors and water heaters:

The thermal laboratory of the AMEE has test benches to evaluate the thermal performance as well as the reliability and durability tests of the individual solar water heaters (CES) with thermosiphon and the solar collectors with liquid circulation.

  1. Test bench thermal performance sensors

The thermal performance test bench of the sensor is used to determine the instantaneous efficiency curve of the sensor and the heat output provided by the sensor under various operating conditions in accordance with NM ISO 9806, as well as the evaluation of additional parameters. of the sensor (pressure drop, angle of incidence factor, heat capacity, time constant) necessary for calculating the thermal power of the sensor.

  1. Reliability bench for solar collectors

In order to evaluate the reliability and durability of solar hot water systems according to NM ISO 9806, the thermal laboratory has test benches:

     3. Test bench for thermal sensor performance

The system test bench is used to evaluate the thermal performance of thermosiphon solar water heaters in accordance with the requirements of Moroccan standards NM 14.5.002 & NM EN12976-2. During testing, the system is installed outdoors with a full south orientation and tilt in accordance with the standard. This test makes it possible to determine parameters of thermal characterization of the sample, in particular the solar coverage rate of the system.

       B. Test bench for PV modules:

As part of our strategy to integrate PV photovoltaics as energy efficiency tools in projects to control energy consumption in the building (for autonomous consumption) and agricultural sectors, the AMEE is acquiring means of more and more successful tests for the labeling of PV modules for use in autonomous power generation systems or in solar pumping.

Electrical performance test bench for PV modules

norms7The photovoltaic laboratory of the AMEE, has a test bench of the PV modules (Inside), composed of a solar radiation generator and a unit of acquisition and processing of the results. During the test, the module is placed on a test table under the radiation of a latest-generation solar simulator which makes it possible to carry out:

  • The performance test at STC long pulse,
  • The NOCT / NMOT performance test with low level of irradiance,
  • Reliability testing or the effect of prolonged exposure to light radiation
  • The qualification of the design and approval of crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules in accordance with NM IEC 61215 (c-Si PV): [10.1, 10.2, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, 10.9 and 10.14]
  • Design qualification and approval of thin-film photovoltaic modules in accordance with IEC 61646: [10.1, 10.2, 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, 10.9 and 10.19]
  • Tests to evaluate the energy characteristics of the modules according to the standard NM IEC 61853-1

The test bench allows the I-V curve of a PV module to be plotted, in accordance with the Moroccan standard NM IEC 61215, by determining the values of the key parameters of a PV module under the best ambient and time conditions.
